Adaptogens
Adaptogens are ancient plants and herbs that each have the unique ability to enhance human resilience to stress. Adaptogens help us "adapt" to numerous environmental stressors that challenge our internal balance.
Among the adaptogens we incorporate are Ashwagandha (relieves stress and anxiety) and L-theanine (improved relaxation and attention).
WHY WE USE IT:
Standing on a ledge or ripping through whitewater can be stressful. Keep jitters at bay and calm the mind so you can focus. -
Mushrooms
Functional mushrooms like Maitake and Cordyceps provide value to our bodies beyond their nutritional composition. For this reason, herbalists have used these mushrooms in their practices for centuries.
Maitake and Cordyceps mushrooms promote calmness, increase endurance, reduce inflammation and can delay fatigue.
WHY WE USE IT:
Even the fittest can benefit from a little boost. Extend your adventure, hike further and climb longer. -
Minerals
Magnesium Malate combines the essential mineral Magnesium with Malic Acid, an organic compound that's found in fruits and vegetables.
This combination is used to help relieve chronic pain, improve exercise performance, boost energy levels, fight diabetes and promote heart health.
WHY WE USE IT:
Promotes healthy nerve and muscle function and can help lower your risks of headaches and cramps at higher altitudes. -
MCT
Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT) has been incorporated into coffee for years. MCTs are metabolized more quickly than other fats, providing a quick source of energy for the body and brain.
MCTs also help to minimize an exercise-induced increase in blood lactate levels, allowing for a longer duration of high-intensity exercise.
WHY WE USE IT:
When you’re waking for an alpine start you want quick energy that will get you going and on your way. -
Freeze-Dried Coffee
Caffeine-containing coffee stands as one of the most consumed nootropics in the world, for its instant boost to alertness and concentration. Beyond mental alertness, caffeine also enhances phvsical performance. Just a moderate amount can elevate mood and overall well-being.
The smell of coffee has a placebo effect that can increase focus and feelings of ambition.

Other Ingredients
Our vanilla latte recipe just wouldn’t taste right without some additional ingredients. But it still needed to be performance minded and all natural. We chose to use an organic coconut milk with organic vanilla coconut sugar as a natural sweetener.
Why coconut sugar? It has nutrients like iron, zinc, calcium and potassium, as well as phytonutrients such as polyphenols and antioxidants. Plus, it’s lower on the glycemic index than cane sugar.
